Elections in Greece.

Elections in Greece take place this Sunday and 1/3 of the voters is still thinking which party to vote. The two main tendencies are those who are in favour of the imf and believe that a strict programme with lay outs in the public sector lowering wages and cutting down social supplies like education and health will lead to a better tomorrow. Those parties in favour of that are PASOK and New Democracy. On the other hand there are the parties that say that a big percentage of the debts we are in are illegal and not recognised therefore we should stop paying, throw out the IMF and start from zero.

   At first sight someone wonders why people do not choose the second way. Well things in Greece are far more complicated. Last five years all the public media are trying to convince people that there is only the first way and even if you dare to do anything else the sky will fall; the sea will be withdrawn and the sun will not rise. Apart from that they have used the terror that if we choose another way we will not have to eat, we will suffer a constant shortage of supplies medicine e.t.c. Is this true? For a certain period maybe yes but all changes have consequences but how the first way that we follow 3 years now and has failed can now work is a question that can not be answered.

       On the other hand we see a E.U manipulated and sometimes intimidated by Germany. Their strict rules productivity foreign business like Siemens( Huge scandal there) has given them a huge advantage in exporting to the rest of the E.U and as consequence they develop while the south of Europe is declining. We have to think that as long as we stay in the E.U our destinies are bound together whether we like it or not. Greece with a problematic economy collapsed easily by the New Order and this sooner or later will happen to most of the people. Germans have the illusion that they pay us so that we have permanent holidays  which in not any case is true. Greece is a very good customer of Germany ,U.S.A, France in weapons. We borrowed money in order to buy submarines that are defective!!! How crazy is that?

      Today Friday they even tell that Greece has to pay the consequences of not voting what they would like. Is this a real union of people of Europe?  When a whole nation suffers in some extend from policies of the E.U must be punished hard and exterminated. I suppose this reminds me of other really dark times. Unfortunately the experiment of the E.U failed so I suppose we might have to go out demolish ALL things and build something beautiful from the beginning. A state that does not decide according to the markets a state that sees people not numbers that all the excellent good that are produced here are for the benefit of all. I could go on for hours but I hope we vote rationally and things will get better because whether we like it or not the river only goes forward.
